Macar asıllı psikiyatr. 1947 yılında Budapeşte’de doğdu. 1956 ayaklanması döneminde ailesi ile birlikte Kanada’ya göçtü. Montreal’deki McGill Üniversitesi’nde öğrenimini tamamladıktan sonra, 1969 yılında İngiltere’ye gitti ve o zamandan beri de bu ülkede yaşamaktadır. Özellikle korku kültürü, şiddet, terapi kültürü ve paranoyak ebeveynlik konularında çalışmaları bulunmaktadır. Füredi’nin yayınlanmış eserleri şunlardır:
